Rick Fleck This is as good as anything ever released by the Old 97's and I LOVE the Old 97's. After just a few songs and a few listens, these guys become old friends to your ears. What an amazing, deep catalogue. In a perfect world, Sodajerk would be HUGE. I'm telling you, trust me, listen to everything they have.

22 Cars 03:36
I counted 22 cars waiting for you to get back home yesterday Snow and nighttime falling, the same old question Can I leave you one day? And I know I could never be you man, but I'm Still standing here counting every single car in the world Until I see yours..... It's getting cold outside and my coat like my pride Is full of holes So take all the pictures and idle chatter And anything that matters to me And I know I could never be your man yet I'm Still standing here counting every single car in the world Until I see yours....... Your flame and my candle, it's more than I can handle So take it easy on me I hit an all time low knocking on your window What's it going to take for me to see??? That I know I could never be your man.........

Come on now girl put on that little black dress It's time to hit the streets and make ourselves a little mess It's been so long since we've had some spare time Longer since we've had the sense to ignore the bottom line Our friends won't know where we've run off to But the note on the front door will say "We're kicking up dust, we'll see you on Monday" I know sometimes we test each others pride But this ring on my finger feels so damn good tonight Turn it up, the DJ finally found a good song From back before the lighter was replaced by the cell phone Our friends won't know where we've run off to But the note on the front door will say "We're kicking up dust, we'll see you on Monday" We're gonna find out if the weekend turns on a dime So let's kill this town in the meantime......

about

Sodajerk Atlanta, Georgia

Sodajerk began in Pittsburgh with longtime friends Bucky Goldstein and Poppa John Tucker and ended up in Atlanta where the band was rounded out with Blake Parris and Freddy McNeal. Uniting the best of the North and South, they mashed the booze filled swagger of The Replacements with the tear-in-my-beer twang of Johnny Cash, and something special happened....the Sodajerk sound was born. ... more
